Position Overview: Hartford Funds is seeking a Sr. Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and operational support to leaders and teams across Human Resources, Operations, Finance, and Product Management functions. This role serves as a central point of coordination, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations, effective communication, and seamless execution of departmental activities.  The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, professional, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced asset management environment. The Sr. Administrative Assistant must demonstrate sound judgment, discretion with confidential information, and exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide cross-functional administrative support to department leaders and teams within HR, Finance, Operations and Product Management
  • Handle a variety of administrative functions and projects with a high degree of competence and professionalism
  • Manage calendars, schedule meetings (including agenda building and coordinating pre- and post-meeting communications), and handle conference room logistics
  • Make decisions autonomously in anticipation of management needs
  • Make travel arrangements, process expense reports and purchase orders
  • May be involved in planning larger departmental events and meetings
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to schedule interviews as needed
  • Prepare presentations as needed using PowerPoint

Qualifications:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative support experience, preferably within financial services, asset management, investment management, or a related professional services environment
  • Experience supporting multiple executives and/or departments simultaneously preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize competing demands
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-service mindset
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$75,000 - $95,000
