This role is part of our growing Digital Analytics organization. Digital Analytics is a high-impact team focused on delivering AI-first analytics, real-time insights, and personalization capabilities across our digital landscape to help business partners understand customer behavior, optimize experiences, and make confident, data-driven decisions at scale.
The Lead Digital Analyst serves as the strategic analytics lead for the Employee Benefits and Corporate domains, partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive analytics strategy, priorities, and outcomes. This role combines deep hands-on analytics expertise with leadership responsibility for stakeholder engagement, work prioritization, delivery oversight, quality standards, risk management, and business outcomes.
In addition, the Lead Digital Analyst provides functional leadership and mentorship to a team of analysts, helping guide work allocation, analyst development, and delivery excellence while partnering with business and technology teams to deliver actionable insights and drive data-informed decision making.

Role Clarification
This is a lead analyst role, not a people manager role. The position provides functional leadership and accountability for analytics delivery, stakeholder outcomes, prioritization, quality standards, and analyst development while remaining actively engaged in hands-on analytical work.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead complex data and analytics initiatives, translating business needs into scalable, data-driven solutions.
- Serve as the primary analytics partner and trusted advisor for assigned business domains, providing strategic guidance and thought leadership.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to define requirements, KPIs, and analytical solutions that drive informed decision-making and support scalable analytics solutions.
- Perform advanced analytics, data profiling, data discovery, SQL-based querying, omnichannel analysis, and Agentic AI traffic analysis to identify trends, opportunities, risks, and actionable insights.
- Oversee the delivery of complex analyses, reporting, dashboards, scorecards, performance measurement solutions, and executive-level insights while ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to analytics standards and best practices.
- Lead work intake, prioritization, capacity planning, and delivery coordination, effectively managing risks, dependencies, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive data governance, data quality, documentation, and continuous improvement through process optimization, automation, and reusable analytics solutions that improve efficiency and scalability. Collaborate and support AI First analytical initiatives.
- Lead data quality investigations and root cause analysis, MORs, MBRs, and executive reporting, communicating insights, recommendations, and business performance metrics to diverse audiences.
- Mentor and develop analysts through coaching, knowledge sharing, deliverable reviews, and best-practice guidance while fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Maintain strong business, technical, and domain expertise while remaining hands-on and supporting strategic cross-functional initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Analytics, Business, Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, digital analytics, reporting, or related disciplines.
- Experience leading analytics initiatives and mentoring or guiding analysts.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data storytelling skills.
- Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, BI and visualization tools such as Tableau, and digital analytics platforms such as Google Analytics/GA4.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence without authority and collaborate effectively across business and technology teams.
- Experience working in Agile environments and managing multiple priorities.
- Experience with data quality, reporting automation, dashboard development, and digital analytics best practices are preferred.
- Insurance or financial services experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled analytics capabilities.
- Experience analyzing digital customer behavior, customer journeys, or enterprise datasets.
- Experience driving process improvements and scalable analytics solutions.
Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
