Position Overview 

We are seeking a Senior SDET to lead quality engineering efforts across enterprise scale applications. This role requires strong automation expertise, solid programming skills, and close collaboration with development and product teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC. Insurance domain experience is a strong plus. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI and API automation frameworks. 

  • Implement UI automation using Selenium WebDriver and Playwright. 

  • Develop and execute API tests using REST Assured, Karate, and SoapUI. 

  • Apply BDD practices using Cucumber, partnering with product and business teams on acceptance criteria. 

  • Write highquality automation code using Java, JavaScript, and TypeScript, following strong OOPS principles. 

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Maven and npm. 

  • Use GitHub for version control, code reviews, and collaboration. 

  • Support testing in AWSbased cloud environments. 

  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and agile teams to drive insprint automation and continuous testing. 

  • Provide test documentation, metrics, and quality reporting. 

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote automation and testing best practices. 

 

 

 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • 8+ years of experience in test automation / quality engineering 

 

Programming & Automation 

  • Java, JavaScript, TypeScript 

  • Selenium WebDriver, Playwright 

  • JUnit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine 

  • BDD with Cucumber 

API & Tooling 

  • REST Assured, Karate, SoapUI 

  • GitHub, Maven, npm 

  • AWS (cloud awareness) 

Testing & Process 

  • Strong knowledge of testing methodologies 

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments 

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills 

 

Preferred Skills & Experience 

  • Insurance domain experience (Claims, Policy, Billing, etc.) 

  • Experience with Guidewire Cloud Platform (GWCP) migrations or upgrades 

  • Experience with largescale or regulated enterprise systems
