bout the Role 

We are looking for a talented Java Engineer with strong experience in JBoss and Tomcat application server frameworks and a passion for leveraging AI-powered tools to improve development velocity, quality, and maintainability. This role will help modernize and optimize our enterprise application stack while introducing innovative approaches to coding, testing, and troubleshooting using emerging AI technologies. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Support and migrate enterprise Java applications deployed on JBoss EAP or Apache Tomcat. 

  • Optimize application server configurations for performance, scalability, and security. 

  • Build RESTful APIs and backend services using modern Java frameworks. 

  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, M365 Copilot, AI code generation platforms) to accelerate software design, coding, debugging, and documentation. 

  • Implement AI based solutions to support enterprise applications. 

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline integration. 

  • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis to drive long-term stability. 

 

Required Qualifications 

  • 3–5+ years of experience developing Java applications in enterprise environments. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with JBoss EAP, WildFly, or Apache Tomcat. 

  • Proficiency with Java 8+ and common frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, or Jakarta EE. 

  • Experience using or integrating AI-assisted coding tools in the development lifecycle. 

  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices patterns, and distributed systems. 

  • Relevant certification completion for Tomcat and/or Kubernetes  

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control (Git). 

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly in performance tuning and application server logs. 

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams. 

 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Familiarity with AI inference services or using LLMs to design/validate code patterns. 

  • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). 

  • Knowledge of messaging systems (Kafka, JMS) or integration patterns. 

  • Exposure to test automation frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, Selenium). 

  • Experience in refactoring monolithic applications into modern architectures.
