Role Overview
The Tech Lead – Change & Release Management is responsible for governing, coordinating, and optimizing technology changes and releases across a complex, globally distributed environment. This role ensures safe, compliant, and automated delivery of changes while protecting service stability, customer experience, and regulatory posture.
The role operates in a high‑velocity, always‑on production environment and requires proven experience working within a 24x7x365 follow‑the‑sun operating model, managing cross‑regional dependencies, and enabling rapid yet controlled change execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Change and Release Management governance, ensuring adherence to ITIL standards while enabling speed and automation.
Assess, mitigate, and communicate risk associated with infrastructure, cloud, and application changes.
Coordinate global release activities across engineering, infrastructure, application, and vendor teams.
Operate effectively within a 24x7x365 follow‑the‑sun model, ensuring seamless regional handoffs and release continuity.
Maintain strong stakeholder communication, providing clear visibility into release schedules, risks, dependencies, and outcomes.
Drive dependency mapping across platforms, services, and environments to prevent downstream impacts.
Govern and optimize CI/CD pipelines, version control strategies, and release automation tooling.
Leverage AI‑powered automation to improve change risk detection, approval workflows, and release success rates.
Partner with Incident and Problem Management to reduce change‑related incidents and repeat failures.
Continuously improve release maturity, automation coverage, and operational resilience.

Qualifications & Experience
8+ years of experience in Change Management, Release Management, DevOps, or IT Operations roles.
Demonstrated experience working in a fast‑paced global 24x7x365 follow‑the‑sun operating model.
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud services, and service dependencies.
Proven ability to balance speed, stability, and compliance in large‑scale production environments.
Experience supporting mission‑critical, highly regulated platforms preferred.
Work Environment
High‑visibility role in a mission‑critical global operations environment.
Requires flexibility for global coordination, release windows, and rotational coverage.
Regular interaction with senior technology leaders, engineering teams, and business stakeholders.
