We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with expertise in Harness Continuous Delivery (CD) and a solid grasp of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance across our cloud and on-prem environments. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Harness CD Expertise 

  • Design, configure, and manage Harness pipelines for continuous delivery and deployment. 

  • Integrate Harness with CI tools, artifact repositories, and cloud platforms. 

  • Optimize deployment strategies for zero-downtime releases and rollback mechanisms. 

  • DevOps & Automation 

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI. 

  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.). 

  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection. 

  • SRE Principles 

  • Apply SRE best practices to improve system reliability and reduce toil. 

  • Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs for critical services. 

  • Conduct capacity planning, incident management, and postmortems. 

  • Cloud & Containerization 

  • Manage deployments on AWS and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. 

  • Ensure security and compliance in cloud environments. 

  • Collaboration 

  • Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline delivery. 

  • Advocate for observability, resilience, and automation across the organization. 

 

Required Skills & Qualifications 

  • Technical Expertise 

  • Deep Hands-on experience with Harness CD 

  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and automation. 

  • Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS). 

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architecture. 

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace etc.). 

  • SRE Knowledge 

  • Understanding of error budgets, incident response, and blameless postmortems. 

  • Ability to implement observability practices (logs, metrics, traces). 

  • Programming & Scripting 

  • Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, or similar languages. 

  • Soft Skills 

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Certifications in Harness, AWS, or Kubernetes. 

  • Familiarity with GitOps workflows and tools like Github Actions or Flux. 

  • Knowledge of security best practices in DevOps.
